Ballantrae is a gated community of over four hundred homes located in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. We're on the North Fork of the Saint Lucie River with direct access to the South Fork of the river which leads to Lake Okeechobee and the Gulf of Mexico. In addition, the Indian River Intracoastal Waterway and access to the Atlantic Ocean via the St. Lucie inlet are both within an easy sail down the river.

There is a newly updated and private Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course, Santa Lucia River Club. This is a par 72 championship course of masterful design that winds through 402 acres of upland preserves, oak hammocks, and stands of mature pines.

In addition to golf and boating, Ballantrae offers tennis, swimming, fishing, and a Homeowner's Community Clubhouse which is the center of many community activities.

The approximately 400 homes in Ballantrae vary from waterfront estates of over 5,000 sq. ft. of living area, three-car garages, and 5 bedrooms and 5 baths down to 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom attached villas of just over 1,000 sq. ft. with garages.  Homes were first completed in 1993 and there are still some vacant lots that have yet to have a home on them.

The Ballantrae homeowners association fees, as of April 2024, vary from a low of $281.00 a month up to $681.00 per month depending on the location of the home and the services provided.  Up to 2 large pets are allowed for residents.  Docks are owned by residents and can be sold among owners only.  There are 67 slips in the community Marina and most times there's a waiting list for these docks.

The location of this community makes it very convenient for those looking to access Florida's Turnpike to commute either to the north or south as it's only about 10 minutes from the front gate depending on traffic.  Also, very conveniently located to access US-1 (Federal Hwy) to reach Jensen Beach where one has a wide choice of shopping including the Treasure Coast Mall as well as access to the beaches of the Atlantic Ocean and many waterways and fishing spots.

There are first-class medical facilities all within a few minutes of Ballantrae along with dining options ranging from fancy to casual.  Entertainment is also close by with the Lyric Theater in Stuart and the Sunrise Theater in Fort Pierce.  And, for those baseball fans, the NY Mets train just up the road in Saint Lucie West.

Ballantrae is also located adjacent to the Port St. Lucie Sandpiper Club Med which has a number of exciting and educational programs and is a destination for tourists from all over the world.
